On Saturday Sept. 29th from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. a yard sale/bake sale will be held outside at Southworth Library to raise funds for the library. The event is the inspiration and vision of Colleen O’Boyle, a DeMello elementary school student who wanted to help the libraries after the override was defeated and the library’s budget cut.
Her mom Kathy O’Boyle and the Parents for Dartmouth Libraries are overseeing the sale. Items may be dropped off at the library through 1 p.m. Friday Sept. 28th.
Colleen was part of the summer reading program and performed with the lip synch troop at the end of the program extravaganza. She loves the library and hopes to see it receive assistance in surviving the current budget reductions.
