Santa Visits and Pilgrim Bell Ringers Performed

Our annual Tree Trimming Event at the Library included a visit from Santa and a beautiful concert of holiday music by the Pilgrim Hand Bell Ringers from the Pilgrim United Church of Christ in New Bedford, MA.

Jammin’ with Jen – Catch the Beat Aug. 7th.

Jen Strom is a singer and multi-instrumentalist who will get the kids clapping and singing along in no time. Using guitar and fiddle, Jen covers the classic kids favorite songs as well as finger-plays and dance songs like the Hokey-Pokey. Along with her upbeat sing-along show, she adds rhythm games and each group creates an interactive rhythm band. Two shows will be held on Tuesday, August 7 at 10 am and again at 2 pm at the Southworth Library. The event is free.

David Polansky in Concert July 31st.

Award winning composer David Polansky has been thrilling audiences for years with his original works that redefine the term “Children’s Music”. The performance will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Southworth Library on Tuesday, July 31st. This special evening performance is part of the “Catch the Beat” Summer Reading Program. This is a concert for the whole family – David gets everyone involved and the audience will be singing, dancing and bantering with a truly funny, and very accomplished musician.
