Southworth Library and The Paskamansett Bird Club are pleased to present Todd McLeish with a program on his book Golden Wings and Hairy Toes: Encounters with New England’s Most Imperiled Wildlife. The latest event in our Meet the Author series will be held on Thursday, Feb. 28th at 7 pm. McLeish is a natural history writer and staffer at the University of Rhode Island. The book profiles 14 of New England’s most rare and endangered flora and fauna. He will be signing copies of his book after the presentation.

Rainbow Dust by Eleanor RothMeet the author at the Southworth Library, Tuesday Oct. 30th at 7:00 p.m. Local Dartmouth resident and author Eleanor Roth will discuss her book, Rainbow Dust. This paranormal romance is perfect for a slightly spooky Halloween eve event. Best-selling author and priest Andrew Greeley says, “It’s a charming, fascinating book.” She will discuss the real-life cowboy that one of the characters is modeled after and will show some of his memorabilia as well. She will be available after the presentation for a book signing. Copies of Rainbow Dust will be available for purchase that evening.

Meet the author at the Southworth Library, Wednesday Sept. 26th at 7:00 p.m. Marc Songini will discuss his book, The Lost Fleet. In his presentation, “Brave Men and Braver Women,” Marc will talk about the exploits of Thomas William Williams and his wife Eliza and family. His wife was a partner with him in his exploits. Marc Songini is a resident of Foxboro, MA. He is a high-tech journalist and a former freelance writer for the Standard Times. Marc will be available after the presentation for a book signing. Copies of The Lost Fleet will be available for purchase that evening.
